We Arrived Safe and Sound in Gulf Shores 3/5/2008

We left Wal*Mart about 8:45 this morning and had a very lovely drive along the Gulf Coast into Bon Secour where we are staying at the Gulf Coast RV Park. The park is nice, nothing really special but all we need is a place to hang our hats for the next 4 days. The rest rooms are great though with a each one a huge room with a sink, toilet and sit down shower and the water pressure is good and nice and hot. So we got all set up and took a ride into town to look around and do a few caches. It's a miniature version, again, of Myrtle Beach with lots of restaurants, stores, shops and beach houses. As we drove around so many of the beach houses and condos looked new we kind of wondered how much damage the hurricanes had done here. There were also a lot of empty lots on the ocean front which in this day and age in these resort areas is unheard of. We did a cache at a public beach access, one in a small park, one at the entrance to a nature walk and one at the headquarters of the Gulf State Park. We finished those and looked around some more and came back to the RV and I showered and Mom did the logs and we are about to eat dinner. We're sorry but we are not to sure how many pictures will will have on this stay as it doesn't seem like the area has a lot of interesting history. Well time to eat so we will see everybody tomorrow and we love and miss you all.
