Wal*Mart for the Night then on to Gulf Shores, AL
Well here we are in Ft. Walton Beach, FL at the local Wal*Mart. We left this morning about 10:30 after waiting out the storms that didn't turn out as bad as they were predicted to be (AGAIN). There was a tornado watch out but no Severe thunderstorm watch which didn't really make any sense at all to us. We drove through a little rain on into Panama City but after that it was cloudy and very very very windy till we got into Destin, FL and then the sun broke through and was even more windy than it was earlier. Destin was almost an exact duplicate of Myrtle Beach with about 4-5 miles of stores, stores, stores and more stores and restaurants, restaurants, restaurants and more restaurants and shops, shops, shops and more shops and high rises, high rises, high rises and more high rises. Like I said almost like MB only not quite as large. It seemed very pretty from what we could see driving through. Once we left Destin and crossed the bridge onto Okaloosa Island the wind was fierce. It was drifting the sand right straight across the roads and it looked liked they would need plowing off. Wew got to Wal*Mart and parked and Mom had to go to Sam's and Wally World to stock up on a few things so I stayed with the dogs and watched to world go by and listened to the wind howling through the RV and rocking it to beat the band. We had dinner and Mom is reading and I am doing the blog as we have no tv. It seems when they hooked up our satellite dish they forgot to rehook the roof antenna so all we get is static and I have no idea what I need to do to fix it. It's going to have to wait till we get back to NY and take it into Camping World. Well almost time for bed so we will say good night and till tomorrow from Gulf Shores, AL we love you all.
