Tornado Watch and Caching

Well this morning we woke up to a tornado watch in our area, those that devastated AK, TN and MS. The line of storms was supposed to come through about 11:00 or so, so we sat and waited. About 9:30 one of the owners of the campgrounds came by with information on the shelter we could go to if we felt a need to. It was an old Fallout Shelter from the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis and was a concrete bunker dug deep into the ground. Mom would have loved that had we had a need for it...NOT. Thank goodness we didn't have a need for it as it wasn't even a good thunderstorm by the time it reached us. Just a little wind, a few claps of thunder and lots of heavy rain. So we survived that and decided to go to Dothan, AL for some caching as soon as the rain stopped. It quit while Mom was in WalMart getting a few groceries so as soon as she was done we were off. The first cache was in the rest area along t 231, the next one was in Mt Mariah Cemetery in Pinckard, Al and was a 2 stage multi, next we did Cody's Cache which was hidden on a guardrail, then it was a cache in Home Depot, Cracker Barrel, at the Visitors Center and we saw the Golden Peanut, which is a huge staple of this area, and lastly it was 3 caches in small parks in Dothan. Back to the RV and we ordered dinner from Larry's BBQ and it was great, the BBQ pork was so tender, juicy and tasty we are going back again before we leave. Well just about time to say goodnight and we miss and love you all.
