On Our Way to Robertsdale, AL & WINDY 3/21/2010

We got up early this morning as we wanted to see if we could get to our next campgrounds early so we could see the SU-Gonzaga game. We got off in the rain about 8:20 and were off to Hilltop RV Park. It was a fairly nice trip down along the Gulf along RT 98 although it rained some of the way but nothing to bad. All was good until we got to Destin, FL and the winds started. The winds were blowing 40+ MPH with higher gusts and it was quite a trick to keep the coach on the road. It had stopped raining so that was a plus but the sand from the beach was blowing across the road all along the road. We made it to Pensacola and started over the bridge, which is about 2 miles long, into the city and I really had my doubts about going over as it was a crosswind. Well across we went and we did make it but I had to keep the steering wheel cocked to the left to keep from hitting the side of the bridge. Well once we got on I10 it wasn't much better all the way to the campgrounds. We did get here to watch the last 13 minutes of the SU game although they put a hurting on the Zags. We got all set up after the game and had to make a trip to Wal Mart which was about 20 miles away. We needed groceries and had to replace our rugs from the pasta sauce spill. We got that done and we relaxed the rest of the afternoon and watched TV. We had dinner and watched TV for the evening. Well until next time we love and miss you all. Mom & Dad Dori & Dick
