On To The "BIG EASY" 3/26/2010

We packed up and headed west this morning for our drive into New Orleans. It was a nice drive especially across the bridge over Lake Pontchartrain into New Orleans. The traffic was kind of hairy once you got near the center of the city but we survived. You could still see sections of the city that had been destroyed by Katrina from the drive along I10. We arrived at the NO West KOA about 11:30, registered and got set up. We had lunch and loaded a few caches into the GPS that were close to the campgrounds and we were off. There was one cache at Wally World, which we needed to go to anyway to order our scripts, so that worked out well. There were 3 caches along the levee along the Mississippi River, one at a destroyed Burger King and the other across from a video store. As you can see there wasn't anything earth shattering or historical just the same old same old NRV caches for today but we're sure that will change tomorrow. Then it was back to the coach and we did our logs, showered, had dinner and watched TV for the evening. Well that's about it from here so until next time we love and miss you all.
