A Quiet Birthday 8/3/2010

We didn't do much today as it was very cloudy, hot and extremely humid. We took a ride over to Cabella's and I got a new pair of shorts for caching as the other pair I have been wearing were looking a little ratty. Then we rode down to DQ as we had a coupon for a BOGO free Blizzard but the store wasn't a free standing store as it was in a gas station and they only had a selection of 6 or 7 flavors so we decided to save the coupon till we get to Sioux Falls. We were headed back to the coac and decided to stop at a place we had seen in one of our earlier stops, Culver's Butterburgers, for lunch. We had never heard of this restaurant before but we stopped anyway and are we glad we did. It was delicious. It's like a Burger King or McDonald's only much much better. The prices are about the same but the food is cooked to order.......no preprepared food. They have hamburgers, cheeseburgers, prime rib sandwich, chicken tenders, reuben, cod sandwich, pot roast sandwich, hot dogs, fries etc. They also have dinners like cod, pot roast, chopped steak, fried chicken and shrimp. They also have shakes, floats, malts and sundaes. Quite a nice menu and I'll tell you that the butterburgers were absolutely delicious, nothing like Burger Barfs. They are not in the Eastern part of the country yet but are big in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota and Iowa and have a few locations in a few other midwestern states. TRy it if you ever have the chance you won't be sorry. Then we were on back to the coach for the afternoon. We did go out to dinner to Whiskey Creek Wood Fire Grill and wished after we were done that we had gone back to Culver's instead. The food was not good and the food came out so fast you didn't have time to breathe between your drinks, appetizer and main course. Oh well live and learn. After dinner we went back to the coach for the evening and were under a tornado warning for the rest of the evening as there was funnel clouds spotted north of us about 4 miles away but nothing came about the rest of the night. Well that's about all from Mitchell for today so until tomorrow we love and miss you all. Mom & Dad Dori & Dick
