Caching in Sioux City 8/5/2010

This was our first morning out and about in Sioux City doing some of the caches here. We did do 14 caches but really none of them were anything interesting or brought us to any historical sites. We did caches near a bunch of storage sheds, at the trailhead to a bike trail, 7 0r 8 caches that were at stores or in shopping malls under light post skirts, one at the Fryin Pan Restaurant, one at physical fitness center one at a Longhorn Steak House, one on a sign for a local business and one in a pine tree at another local business. So as you can see we guess there isn't much historical to see here and we can't imagine why. By the way the ban on using water in the area we are staying in is still in effect as your not supposed to use water in any way shape or form. We did find a kind of out of the way bathroom here in the fairgrounds that wasn't blocked off so we have been able to shower. They have closed a lot of the parks that border the Big Sioux River as that is where they are dumping all the sewage that is coming from the section of the city we are in. We can't imagine how they can get away with this as the Big Sioux River is a tributary of the Missouri River and is 295 miles long. Well after we finished caching we headed back to the coach for the day. Well that's about all from here for today so until tomorrow we love and miss you all. Mom & Dad Dori & Dick
