Car Repair, Dentists & Caching 4/8/2010

We had breakfast waiting for the Chevy dealer to call once they got the part for the car in and while we were waiting Mom had to call a dentist as she has a bad tooth. She was able to get an appointment at 10:00 and as soon as she made the appointment they called that the part was in. So off we went and I dropped her at the dentists and headed for the repair shop. I got there and they took the car right in and it was done in 30 minutes, darn good service I might add. The part was $6.50 and the total bill was $178.00 but we only had to pay the deductible of $100.00. Then I was off back to the dentists to wait for Mom. I waited about 30 minutes and she was done for today. The dentist took x-rays and gave her antibiotics and is going to pull the tooth on Monday. We were off back to the RV and ate lunch and decided to go caching around the Sulphur area. We loaded the caches and off we went. Again sorry to report nothing except NRV caches for today. A sign post, a deserted building, a truck stop in the woods, dead end road in the woods, along a fence along the interstate, Chili's, McDonalds, Lowes, a park and a medical center. Sorry about the no histroical sites to write about but we're sure there will be more soon. We do have some pictures today of 2 of the big industries here in Sulphur and Lake Charles. Both these cities are big oil refinery and chemical manufacturing cities. These plants really are awesome to see how large they are and they are running 24 hours a day. In fact a few of the people in the campgrounds are staying here as they work in these plants. We found out where all our gas is being stored and that is here. Wish we could get into one of the storage tanks. After we finished caching it was back to the campgrounds for showers and dinner and a little TV. Well until tomorrow we love and miss you all.
