On Our Way to Memphis 4/7/2009
We got off early today headed toward Memphis and the EZ Daze RV Park. It was sunny but very cold. We had a fairly good trip as some of the route we took, which was RT 64, across the bottom of TN, hasn't been completed yet and there were sections that were only two lanes and the road was very narrow and rough. The odd thing was that you would drive a few miles on lovely newly paved road four lanes and all of a sudden you would be on a two lane rough road for x-number of miles and then back onto a four lane road for another so many miles then back onto a two lane road for a few miles more and that was the way it was until we got about 30 miles outside of Memphis and then it was four lanes all the way to the campgrounds. Evidently this route isn't traveled very much as we ran into very very little traffic except in the small towns we drove through. We got here about 1:30 got all set up and had lunch. The campgrounds is fairly new and is very nice and clean. They have spotless bathroom, a hot tub, cable TV and wi-fi. I did some things on the computer seeing as we have wi-fi which seemed nice to have again and then we took a short ride to look around. We found a Chicago style pizza place and we ordered from them for dinner and it was great. We watched TV for awhile and then it was off to bed. Well that's about all for today and we love and miss you all. Mom & Dad
