On the Road to Cheriton, VA and Cherrystone CG 9/7/2008

Well we were on the road again the day after the "BIG STORM" headed to Cheriton, VA and Cheeystone Family Campground. It was a very pleasant drive down RT 13 although it went through every jerkwater little town in DE, MD & VA. Harrington, Seaford, Cannon, Blades, Laurel, Bacons, Fruitladn, Eden, princess Anne, Pokomoke City, New Church, Oak Hall, Temperanceville, Assawoman, Mappsville, Bloxom, Accomac, Onancock, Pungoteague, Belle Haven, Nassawadox, Birdsnest, Machipongo, and last but not least Weirwood are a few of the one horse or maybe half horse towns we drove through. We arrived at the campgrounds about 1:00 and got checked in and went to get propane and then drove to our site. The site we have is lovely as it over looks the Chesapeake Bay and we could sit and watch the freighters going in and out of the Bay. We are about 150' from the water and can see the beautiful sunset every night. The campgrounds is excellent as it is very clean and modern and has a lot of extras that families would love. Well we got set up and I watched a little of the football game and then we went to the store to pick up a few things for the 3 days we are going to be here. We drove back and I watched some more football and Mom sat outside and read. We had dinner and watched TV for awhile and then Mom went to bed and read and I sat on the couch and slept. Well time to say adios until tomorrow and we love and miss you all. Mom & Dad
