A Few Days with Scott's Family 8/31-9/2/2008

There really hasn't been much going on in Binghamton as Scott and Cheryl were in Saratoga for the races and the kids were all down at Cheryl's Mom's in PA. So we were alone in the house and didn't do to much as my back was still bad and we really couldn't do to much. Mom did clean around the house a little and went shopping, but other than that all we did was watch TV and hang around Sunday and part of Monday. Scott and the family got home early Monday afternoon on Monday and Anna was quite happy as her and Caitlyn disappeared with Mom until supper time. They were in Anna's room playing games, in the coach talking and playing cards, and they took a walk also. We had fixed chicken with pasta, sun dried tomatoes and mushrooms for dinner so Cheryl didn't have to cook after they got home. After dinner we sat around and talked and watched TV. Mom, Anna, and Caitlyn all slept in the coach so they went over early and got all set up for a night of fun and games and most likely not much sleep. I went over to the coach about 10:30 after all the lights had gone out as I assumed they were all sleeping. I found out the next morning that they weren't rally asleep but laying in bed telling ghost stories as Mom was relating a few of the strange and eerie places we had visited the past few months. I still am not sleeping in bed as I can't lay down and get back up without the pinched nerve killing me so I have been sleeping sitting up on the couch the past week or so.
Tuesday Scott & Cheryl went back to work and Mom took Anna and Caitlyn to the mall to go "shopping" and then they went to lunch at Arby's. After lunch they went to a kid's shoe store and the girls tried on shoes for about 30 minutes. They also got lost going from lunch to Target and the girls thought that was great. They came back to the house and Anna and Caitlyn went apple picking with Caitlyn's Mom, so Mom took advantage of the peace and quiet and took a nap. By the time the girls got back it was time for dinner. We had fixed a veggie dinner for everybody that consisted of shrimp stuffed baked potatoes, sweet corn and tomatoes with mozzarella. Everybody seemed to like it and after we finished Scott and I had a fantasy football draft so that took up the rest of the evening for us. After we were done I went to "bed" and Mom read for awhile and then hit the hay as we were off back south in the morning. Well time to feed the pups so we will say until tomorrow from Pennsylvania we love you all.
