Yet Another Drive Into the Badlands in Search of Agates 7/23/2010

Seeing as this was our last day here we decided to take it easy and just take another drive into the Buffalo Gap National Grasslands in search of the ever elusive Fairburn agate. We hung around until about 10:00 loaded Muffy and Raggs in the car and off we went. We drove out to the same spot we had found a few days ago, I parked the car and away I went while Mom stayed in the car and read. I was out on the buttes for about an hour or so and had to call it quits as the sun was brutal out there. It really was amazing how much difference there was between the grasslands and where we were camped. We drove back to the coach after I was done looking, had lunch and that was about it for the day. Later that afternoon all of a sudden the wind started blowing harder than the devil without any warning. It blew so hard the the trailer behind us, who had his awning out and wasn't home lost it all. It bent the arms holding it up and torn the canvas all to heck. It blew like that for quite awhile until the sun had set. The pictures I am posting today are ones that were taken on the day we drove to see Deadwood. Well that's about all from Hermosa for today so until tomorrow we love and miss you all.
