Rain, Caching, & Winery in Pigeon Forge 3/27/2009

We don't think the rain will ever stop but we certainly can't sit around and do nothing all day every day it rains which has been a lot since we left MB. We loaded some caches in the GPS and we were off. The first cache was in a WalMart in a light pole. Then we drove into Sevierville and did a cache near a bronze statue of Dolly Parton. Next was a cache on the fence of a baseball field and then a cache in a park near a new covered bridge. Then it was off to the Middle Creek United Methodist Church for 2 caches , one located near the church and the other in the woods near the church cemetery. Then it was off to a stop at Applewood Complex a shopping area. They have 2 restaurants, general store, candy shop, ice cream shop and a bakery. They have everything under the sun that you can imagine that has to do with apples or is made from apples. We bought some apple fritters, apple cinnamon doughnuts and a loaf of apple raisin bread. Then we were off to the Mountain Valley Winery for a tasting session as what better else to do on a rainy afternoon. We tried 6 or 7 different wines from a plum to a peach to a raspberry. We settled on 3 reds a plum a muscadine and a Mountain Valley Red. Then it was off back to the coach for lunch, Mom did our logs and then it was almost time for dinner.
