More Problems and an Extra Night in MB 3/3-6/2009

Wednesday and things have not started out to well on the road so far. It was good we styed at Briarcliff to get the "new" bugs worked out. Well we did leave the water running Tuesday night but forgot to open the drain valve and I got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and stepped in a puddle of water. The bathroom sink had overflowed and started running all over the floor. Luckily we caught it in time and there wasn't to much of a mess and no damage....thank goodness. We got it mopped up and went back to bed. We had a bunch of errands to run during the day and again it was damn cold here, about 30 degrees below normal. Liz and Bob took us all out to dinner Wednesday night as a thank you for all the things we had done for them. We went to Horst Gasthaus a small German restaurant. We all had German food and it was very good but the only thing was is that they had a man playing German music during dinner and you couldn't hear yourself think and you certainly couldn't talk or hear anyone.
Thursday Mom went to Ed's to do our laundry and that took her most of the day. We had Liz, Bob, Gina, and Ed over to the coach for pizza and everyone seemed to have a good time. After everybody had left Gina stopped back, after I had gone to bed, with a gift for us and we would like to thank her very much as we appreciated it very much.
Friday we went to K & W for breakfast before we started out to NC. We got back and took everything down and headed out. We stopped and got gas and on leaving the station our tire air pressure monitor showed we only had 61 pounds of pressure in one of the rear inside tires so we were off to Camping World. We got to CW and they said they didn't fix tires and sent us to Black's Tire down the road from them. We got there and they finally got us in and the fellow said he didn't think it was the tire and sure enough it wasn't. It was the valve extender that had leaked and let the tire down so back to CW. We got there and to make a long story short they diddled around with the 2 rear tire valve extenders and changed them twice before they finally got them working. What had happened is the valve extenders were not fastened down and they wobbled every time the tire went around and it had just vibrated and broken and sprung a leak. By this time it was 2:00 PM and they finally got the tire pressure monitoring system working so we left and jumped on RT 31 and headed north. We got about 2 miles down the road and the tire air system started blinking again showing we had no air in the rear tires. Well I called CW and told them on was on my way back and wanted the system taken off and we wanted a refund. By the time we got back I had cooled down and they said they wanted to try one more thing to see if it would work. The put a lead wire on the antenna of the tire monitor box to see if that would eliminate any outside interference and coach interference. Well we were off on our way again and this time it seemed like it was going to work. I didn't really feel like driving all the way to NC so we went to Willow Tree RV Resort for the night. We went to dinner at TGIF with Liz, Bob and Ed and came back and hit the hay as we were both pooped.
Well that's about all the travails and tales here, hope things don't get much worse, so until next time we love and miss you all. Mom & Dad
