Rainy Rainy Rainy Day on Tybee Island 1/19/2008

When we say it rained today we mean it rained. Wow was it nasty although it did let up about 10:30 for about 3 hours, just enough time for us to go out and do some caching. We started out at a small local park overlooking the harbor route into Savannah. The site had a few benches and an old anchor and we will have pictures when the sun is shining. Next was a beach access cache, then on to a cache overlooking the marsh, then on out to the end of the island and a virtual cache on the end of the fishing pier, a Earthcache having to do with the sand dunes, next was a small area called Park of the Seven Flag in the middle of a roundabout that contained some benches and a plaque, then on to another beach access and a cache under the boardwalk and lastly a mico cache on the Back River Fishing Pier. We were going to do some more but it started to mist again and we called it quits for the day and as we got back to the RV it started to pour and it has been ever since then and its 5:45. By the way dinner last night at the Crab Shack was amazing. Mom had clam chowder and steamed clams and I had a platter for one that was huge and included sausage, corn, potatoes, crab legs, boiled shrimp and crawfish (finally found out how to eat them too). The top 3 pictures are of the dunes and the Tybee Island Fishing Pier and the rest of them are of the place we ate at last night Crab Shack with the 1 picture of the platter that I had. Well time to eat and Mom and I love all you guys.
