On Our Way To Charleston 1/14/2008
Well we packed up and were on the road by 10:30 to Ladson,SC and the KOA there. Ladson is about 16 miles north of Charleston. Things were going fine until we got on Interstate 526 West and they had the road closed because of an accident right at the junction of 526 and Rt 26, the exit we needed to take to get to the KOA. We sat in traffic for about an hour inching along at 5-10 miles an hour until they made us get off the interstate 1 exit before we were supposed to. All we did was plug a new route into the GPS and as luck had it we were on Rt 78 which is the route the campgrounds is on so it wasn't to bad a detour except for all the traffic that was made to get off where we did. We got here about 3:00 and set up and decided to go do some caching. So we went out and did 5 caches 1 in a shopping center, 3 in 2 separate sports parks and 1 in a lovely small park in Summerville which was called Azalea Park. It had paved trails that wound through the park with benches and gazebos everywhere. We went back to the RV as it was dark and ate and read as they have no tv and Mom is bummed out about that. Well see you all tomorrow we love you.
