Our Stay at Scott's, Lunch and A Little Caching 8/31-9/6/2009

Monday Mom and I went and did a few caches in the Apalachin area seeing as Anna was still out at the cottage. We did caches at a new ice cream store, the Boys and Girls Club, a mall, the end of a walking trail,an old laundromat and the last one was at the start of the local rail trail.
Tuesday was New York State Fair day for Anna and Caitin and us. We left about 7:30, drove to Camillus, picked up our car pass from Mark and dropped the dogs off at Tim's as Rosie was going to watch them. We drove over to the Fair and parked inside and started walking. We visited the dairy barn, the cow barn, the rabbit, goat and llama barns and then went to the Youth Bldg. Mom and the girls walked around in there while sat and took a rest. we then headed for the midway as Anna and Caitlin wanted to take there rides. Well they used their tickets up in about an hour and went on 7 or 8 rides and went to the fun house. We then headed back up the midway and they played a few games and each won some prizes. Caitlin won a goldfish which I'm sure her parents will be thrilled about and Anna won a stuffed toy and a picture. We then headed back to the center court and had lunch and by this time Dinosaur BBQ was packed so we had to have pizza....a real bummer. We then went to the Women's Bldg and Mom and the girls walked through it as I sat outside. After they finished there wasn't anything left the girls wanted to do so we headed home at about 2:00. We returned our car pass and picked up the dogs and we were off for Apalachin and the girls fell asleep as soon as we hit the interstate. We dropped Anna off at the cottage and visited awhile and then headed off to drop Caitlin off at home. It was a long day as we didn't get home until about 6:00 we had dinner and that was it for the day.
Wednesday we had lunch with Bev, a fellow cacher, at the Chinese Buffet and had a nice lunch a a very nice visit. We hope to see her and her daughter, who lives in Oak Island, when we get back to MB for the winter months. Scott and his family headed back in from the lake as Anna had a soccer game that night and they are coaching again this year. We just hubg around till it was time for the game and headed to the field. It was a great game as Anna's team won 9-3 and Anna had a goal which we were happy to see. Anna played very very well and was a lot more aggressive this year and we were very impressed with her play.
Thursday Scott and Cheryl headed for Saratoga for the weekend and Cory and Rachel headed to Cheryl's Mom's place for the weekend so we were left at Scott's watching Anna. We didn't do much today as Anna played with her friends and we just hung aroundand made sure Anna stayed out of trouble.
Friday Mom took Anna and Caitlin out to lunch at Friendly's and took them to the mall shopping. Anna got a new outfit for school along with new sneakers and Caitlin got some new socks and half gloves. I spent the day working around the coach and watching TV.
Saturday was again a do nothing day although I did fix Anna's bike as the chain had come off. Anna played with Caitlin and her other friends in the neighborhood.
Sunday Anna was picked up by Rachel to go to Cheryl's Mom's house for the night so she could see the fireworks. Caitlin went also. Mom and I hung around and then went to the Johnson City Field days, nothing like the State Fair though. We walked around and had some food and a funnel cake and then stopped at Wegman's to pick up a few things and then went home.
Well that brings you all up to date and we can't wait to get back on the road again on Wednesday. Don't forget we love and miss you all. Mom & Dad
