Sunday Football & Our Geocaching Christmas Bash 11/30-12/2/2008

Unfortunately on Sunday we had to tell our boys and their families that we wouldn't be able to make our trip north for Christmas because of Mom's back and her not being able to ride any length of time without really hurting. We will be doing our shopping ASAP and get all your packages mailed out to you in about a week. This is going to be the first time in 44 years that we will not see all our family during the Christmas season since they were born and it is going to be quite a traumatic and sad feeling for us but needless to say we just can't do it and we are sorry.
Sunday was of course NFL day as I watched a couple of games but unfortunately the Giants wasn't one of them. I don't know what it is with these TV stations down here that they won't show good games. Oh well. Mom isn't doing much these days as she is pretty well laid up in bed with her back. We had left over turkey on Sunday night and that was about it for the day.
Monday we got off early to go have our blood work done for our 6 months check up. After we gave we stopped at K & W for breakfast as Mom said a little of "Nan's" bacon would make her feel better. After that we went back to the house and spent the day watching TV.
Tues went went out to Ed's and did our wash and picked up the things for the party that night. We went home a Mom rested as she wasn't going to miss the event. We left for Loan's about 5:30 and got there about 6:00, we got all set up and just in time as people started arriving about 6:30. We had a great time as we had about 30 people and everybody seemed to enjoy themselves. There were a few out of town cachers from new York and North Carolina. We ate and then had a scavenger hunt game for everybody to participate in. After the game we drew for several prizes that Ed, Mary Lee and Bobbi had emroidered and I had donated a few unactivated geocoins so everybody got something which was very nice. We left before it broke up as Mom again was starting to have a lot of pain and it was a long ride home for her.She has been sleeping fairly well at night so we are happy about that. Well that's about all for now so until next time we miss and love you all. Mom & Dad
