New Years Eve Day and Eve 12/31/2008

Well here we are another year done and we will be going into a new one in a few hours. Mom and I had to pick up her MRI at the South Strand Hospital at 2:00 pm so we decided to go do some caching before we picked it up. We headed for Garden City and Murrells Inlet and we found 8 caches. Our first cache was located between the old air base housing and a huge trailer park on a trail in the woods. Mom negotiated the trail very well as long as she took her time and walked slow and watched where she was going. Next cache was at a mall in a holly bush, then we drove to the marshwalk in Murrells Inlet for 3 caches hidden along the walk. The walk was about a half mile and we did it with no problem and found the 3 caches. Then it was off to Garden City for a cache in a fake cactus, next was a cache at a monument for people who had been lost at sea and our last cache was at the Burgess Community Center. We went and had lunch at a pancake house before we went and picked up the MRI. Mom needed the copy of the MRI for her appointment with a surgeon later in the month, which is just going to be a consultation to see what her options are if the leg doesn't get better. We drove home and I took Muffy and Raggs for a walk and Mom did the logs. It was time to get ready for our dinner out with friends to celebrate the New Year so we got dressed and we were off to Chesnut Hil Restaurant. We met Liz, Bob, Steve, Gina, Ed, Mary Lee, Charlie and Myra and had a great dinner as Bob kept us entertained with his stories about his and Liz's travels. We left and got home about 10:30 and we both decided to see the new year in asleep as Mom was tired from caching as we did walk quite a bit.
Well that's about it for 2008 and we will see you all in 2009 and we love you all. Mom & Dad
