Football and Caching 12/28-30/2008

Sunday was NFL day of course and being as it was the final Sunday of the regular season there were many games important to who makes and who doesn't make the playoffs. I watched 4 games during the day and the best being able to watch the Eagles knock the Cowboys out of the playoffs with a plain pure and simple drubbing. Well playoffs start next week and the Giants have the first week off so we will have to wait and see who they play in their first round game.
Monday we went caching with Liz and Bob down around the Surfside area. We found a total of 12 caches in our travels and also stopped at McDonald's for lunch. First cache was located in a small park in MB, next was a puzzle cache off RT 544 near Surfside and was a very clever way of hiding a cache as for the first stage you had to put a jig saw puzzle together to find the coords for the second stage. Next were 2 caches located in small parks in Surfside. Then it was on up RT 707 for the rest of our caches of which there really wasn't anything very difficult or tricky. Most of them were quick park and grabs near a cemetery, along the road, in shopping centers or strip malls. We then stopped for lunch and we were back off to home. Mom did our logs as I took Muffy and Raggs for a walk.
Tuesday we didn't do an awful lot as Mom had her first physical therapy appointment. She went and came home with some good news. The therapist said the muscle in her leg looked and felt strong although she had lost a 1/2" in her left leg calf muscle. She will have to go 3 times a week for a couple of weeks and they will do exercises and some traction along with her at home excercises. They did feel that they could take care of the foot drop and she will gain more use of her leg as time goes on. She is also off the pain medication all together so that is great news also. After she came back we went out and ran a few errands and for dinner we went to Liz and Bob's place and had a great dinner. They had steak, salad, soup and baked potatoes made in the potatoe bag they got for Christmas from Mary Lee and Ed and they came out great.
Well that's about all for now so we will say until next time we love and miss you all. Mom & Dad
