We are still alive and kicking in spite of what you may be wondering. There just hasn't been an awful lot going on the last 4 or 5 days. We are walking on the beach every morning with Muffy and Raggs and it has been lovely in the morning. Thursday we finished getting settled and Mom did laundry and went to the store. I worked on getting everything straightened out in the apartment and moved the coach to where we are going to park it for the winter.
Friday Mom went to the hospital for her first volunteer day and it was like she had never left. They welcomed her with open arms and she was right back into the swing of things immediately as she was bathing and feeding babies. I just hung around the house and took the dogs for a walk.
Saturday we washed the coach from stem to stern to get all the road film off it so now all we have to do is spray it once or twice a week with the hose to get the salt and sand off of it. We took a ride to AC Moore craft store to see if we could find something to do during our free time as we decided to cache 2-3 times a week so we don't find all the caches to quickly. I watched a little college football and we had sandwiches for dinner. Friday and Saturday nights were very noisy here as it is The Fall Pilgrimage for motorcyclers and they were zooming up and down Ocean Dr almost all night and we have a bedroom window that faces it. Also the people next door came down to their home for the weekend and had a bunch of young people for the weekend and they were up till 4:30 am on Sat morning and 2:30 am on Sunday morning laughing, talking, yelling and playing loud music.......hope it doesn't happen every weekend.
Sunday was, of course, pro football day as I watched the Eagles-Redskins and the Cowboys-Bengals games on TV and the Giants-Seahawks game on the computer. We had Ed, Gina and Steve over for a home-made lasagna dinner which I made earlier in the morning. Gina brought jello-shooters and her and Mom got into those as that's about the only liquor Mom really likes, except for Ed's margaritas. They all left about 10:00 and I went to bed about 10:30. There was something interesting when we took our walk on the beach in the morning. There was a sunrise wedding going on along the shore. There was a arbor with flowers all over it and the bride and groom were dressed in the appropriate wedding attire.
Monday was doctor day as I had an appointment for my back with Dr Smith. He is going to take a MRI on Wed. and has put me back on anti-inflammatory pills and another pill to combat the numbness I am having in my lower right leg. He doesn't want the nerve to die as then I will have a terrible time walking as the right leg will be very very weak and will collapse on me. If this treatment doesn't work they are going to get more aggressive and will give me shots in the region that is bothering me. It is better than when I was in Camillus and I have been spending 4-5 hours a night in bed before I have to get up and sit up and sleep. So we will see. We are going caching for the first time tomorrow so maybe we will have something more interesting to write about. Well time to say until next time we love you all and miss everybody. Mom & Dad
