Traveling to Elizabeth City, NC

Well we left about 9:00 am this morning and drove to Elizabeth City, NC to meet Janet and Doug friends of ours from New York that live in NC now. It was neat to take a drive through the Monitor Merrimac Memorial Bridge Tunnel as it was quite an amazing feat of engineering (those civil engineers are all right). We are staying in the parking lot of Wally World for the night and it just so happened that there was a cache in the lot almost next to the coach, what a coincidence. Mom did some Xmas shopping, of course. We went to a very nice local seafood restaurant for supper with Janet and Doug and had a lovely meal. Mom really enjoyed seeing Janet as she feels like she is the daughter she never had and has kind of watched over her ever since they met in Syracuse. Tomorrow we leave for MB and we will see you there...........LOVE to all.
