Sunday was a fairly do nothing day until later in the evening. We did 3 caches in the morning and went to the grocery store then came back, ate lunch and took it easy till it was time to go to the 73rd Grand Illumination Ceremony. It was held in Colonial Williamsburg and started at 4:45 with carolers, fife and drummers, balladeers and people in period costumes tending the stores and shoppes. At dusk baskets or cressets of pine or "fat wood" were lit illuminating the streets. At 6:15 an awesome display of fireworks was set off at 3 locations the Governor's Palace, Magazine and Capitol Bldg. The display was awesome and lasted for about 20 minutes. After the fireworks we had a leisurely stroll back to our car, which I swear must have been 10 miles away or at least it seemed that way, and we stopped at Red Hot N Blue for some take out BBQ. This is supposed to be one of the better bbq restaurants in the country and we must admit the food and sauce were good. Take care and love to everybody.
