Raining Cats & Dogs and Not Much 9/9-10/2010

Boy did it ever rain on Thursday. It started Wednesday afternoon and rained all through the night non stop and didn't quit until sometime Thursday afternoon. We totaled 5" of rain in all so we didn't get a chance to do much at all. The pictures of the little stream that runs by the front of the coach were taken during the worst of the rain and that creek is usually dry all the time. Friday we hung around for a little while then went out and did 2 benchmark caches, looked for a cache we couldn't find the other day and checked out where they were going to have the hot air balloons tonight. Then we headed back to the coach for the rest of the afternoon. We left to go see the hot air balloons later in the evening as Mom wanted to cross another thing off her bucket list. They were giving tethered balloon rides during the evening for $5.00. We got there and unfortunately they decided the balloons couldn't go up at all as they said the wind, which was hardly blowing, was to strong. Well needless to say Mom was very disappointed but we stayed around for a little while to watch them blow all the balloons up and light them up. Then it was back to the coach for the evening.
