Caching & OurTrip to Syracuse 8/15-19/2009

Saturday Mom and I went caching to finish off some of the caches we didn't get as we didn't want to sit around the coach all day. Most of the caches were NRV caches, the first being in the woods along Poetry Ridge, second at the fairgrounds, where we met another cacher, third was a cache in a big tree outside a small cemetery, fourth was a cache located at a seldom used baseball field where we had to walk down into as it was gated, fifth was one located at a pull over along RT 2 in the woods, sixth was a puzzle cache where I had to figure out a PigPen cipher for a cache in the woods. PigPen cipher was used by Freemasons in the 18th Century to keep their records private. Seventh cache was in a guardrail, eighth cache was at the Greenfield Historical Society building under the stairs and our last cache was a virtual cache located in the Greenfield Energy Park where we had to find the maked of a solar powered train. Then it off back to the coach for lunch and pizza for dinner. By the way the pizza was GREAT as we got it in Bernardston and didn't expect very much but like I said it was great.
Sunday we were off to Camillus bright and early as it was a 280 mile drive, the longest we have driven in one day so far. We decided to stay at Cross Lake Park so we could use or A/C as it was supposed to be in the 90's for the next few days. We got there about 2:30 and were told our site wasn't vacant yet and didn't know when it would be. Well that was nice, but they did give us a site owned by a seasonal camper who had left on vacation for a few weeks, but we would have to move when our site was vacant. So we set up and went over to Tim's and had a GREAT dinner with the Faulkner's.
Monday we had to leave the coach early as we both had doctor's appointments at 9:00. we finished those and I dropped Mom over at Tim's as she had to do wash and I went back to the campgrounds to move the coach to our original site. Hot, hot hot it was as I moved it and I was beat after I got done. After finishing I left to go back to Tim's and shower and we went to the store as we were fixing dinner for everybody that night. We decided on BBQ ribs, fruit salad and tossed salad and we think everybody enjoyed it.
Tuesday we had to leave early again as we had to take Muffy into the vet's because of her ear infection. We saw Dr. Lee who took a lot more time with her than the last vet we saw. She again diagnosed it as a bacteria infection and gave us drops for her ears, Prenisone and a antibiotic for her to take. Well as of this blog she seems so so much better and seems to have some of her hearing back. The doctor said that her ear canals were almost swollen shut and this was the reason she couldn't hear. After finishing at the vets we came back to the coach and I made our reservations for our trip back to Myrtle Beach. I made them through the end of September up until we stop at Janet's in NC. We then went into Tim's and had a good dinner with them of BLT's on a hot hot summer night.
Wednesday we had an appointment for Muffy and Raggs to be clipped so we hung around the coach till 11:30 and left and dropped them off. We then went over to visit Chris and John Cashion for a little while and then went and met Caryn, our dog sitter for lunch at Pizza Hut. After that we stopped at Wal Mart and picked up some groceries and then over to pick up Cody and Luke as they were stayin a couple of nights with us in the RV. We drove back out to the campgrounds and they got a tour and then we had dinner and they went to the game room.
Well time to say until next time we love you all. Mom & Dad
