Dinner Invitation, Golf, Father's Day 6/13-15/2008

Well still not much going on around here, at least nothing that is very exciting. Friday we had lunch with Karyn, the vet technician at Fairmount Animal Hospital and the young lady who used to dog sit for Muffy & Raggs. We went to Applebee's and had a nice lunch and afterwards she came over to the coach and we sat and talked about anything and everything for about 2 hours. Friday night Ceil and Mark invited us to there house for dinner. We had a great dinner of steak, salt potatoes, tossed salad and pasta salad. We met Mark's sister Stephanie from up north, who was staying the night with them as she went to the Section 3 girls lacrosse championships at Cortland. Dan, there son also stopped by to take a run on the canal and have dinner. Saturday morning I went to Pine Grove and played golf with George again. I shot an 80 and George had an 82. Again not to bad for only my second time on a golf course in 2 years. I birdied the first hole and double bogeyed the second and the rest of the front nine was either par or bogey for a 39. The second nine was a 41 with all pars or bogeys except number 15 where I had a triple bogey 7. Not really bad all in all and Wednesday we are going to play a real golf course at Foxfire. After golf we went to watch Luke in his playoff baseball game and his season is over as they lost 13-5 but he played an excellent game at second base. We went back to Tim's and were watching golf when up pulls a car in front and out gets Sean, who drove up to surprise me for Father's Day. What a great surprise it was too. I enjoyed sitting watching the Yankee-Astros game with him after we had pizza and wings for dinner, which were very good. Father's Day was a quiet day as Sean took Mom and I out for breakfast at MaMa Nancy's Diner. After breakfast he left for home to see Kim who had been in Mexico for a week. Mom and I sat around reading and watching TV and killing the rest of the day until we had dinner which consisted of burritos, taco, quesadillas and nachos which Melissa and Tim got. The tacos and quesadillas were great and it tasted good for a little change of pace. We watched the end of the U. S. Open and then I retired for the night. Well time to say until next time and we love you and miss you all.
