Rain, Caching, & Winery in Pigeon Forge 3/27/2009

We don't think the rain will ever stop but we certainly can't sit around and do nothing all day every day it rains which has been a lot since we left MB. We loaded some caches in the GPS and we were off. The first cache was in a WalMart in a light pole. Then we drove into Sevierville and did a cache near a bronze statue of Dolly Parton. Next was a cache on the fence of a baseball field and then a cache in a park near a new covered bridge. Then it was off to the Middle Creek United Methodist Church for 2 caches , one located near the church and the other in the woods near the church cemetery. Then it was off to a stop at Applewood Complex a shopping area. They have 2 restaurants, general store, candy shop, ice cream shop and a bakery. They have everything under the sun that you can imagine that has to do with apples or is made from apples. We bought some apple fritters, apple cinnamon doughnuts and a loaf of apple raisin bread. Then we were off to the Mountain Valley Winery for a tasting session as what better else to do on a rainy afternoon. We tried 6 or 7 different wines from a plum to a peach to a raspberry. We settled on 3 reds a plum a muscadine and a Mountain Valley Red. Then it was off back to the coach for lunch, Mom did our logs and then it was almost time for dinner. Well until next time we love and miss all our family and friends and think of you often. Mom & Dad
